FRESH17: hub in London
FRESH is the first annual conference, focused exclusively on meeting design. FRESH is a platform for innovation, debate, interaction, experimentation and co-creation around meeting design formats, techniques, tools and technology. FRESH helps meeting planners, designers and producers make meetings and events more effective and productive.
FRESH18 THEME: INITIATE INTERACTION
FRESH18 will focus in one of the most pertinent challenges on meeting design: the participant interaction. We will address the challenge of how to make interaction work and confront meeting professionals with some extreme and innovative ideas, techniques and science.
“keeping participants awake during presentations” was the definition of interaction from a conference organizer in 1986. Today it still does not happen naturally so we consider it our duty. It’s an order: “initiate interaction, now!”
And there are many things we can do:
• We can help speakers to hold shorter and more concise presentations
• We can get a facilitator to manage the interaction
• we can change the conference program and add more participant interaction
• We can add tools like voting, mobile app, discussion technology or a throwable microphone
We will address the challenge of how to make interaction work and confront meeting professionals with some extreme and innovative ideas, techniques and science. There are no easy, one fits all type of solutions. The right mix of tools and techniques are key. Interaction is like a cappuccino: everything needs to be right to make a good one.
Why is FRESH a unique Multi-Hub experience?
FRESH18 will again be a Multi-Hub meeting. All technology and interaction levels will be equal in all the main hubs. The learning at FRESH always has a double layer: one is the content from the speakers and two is experiencing the actual format, tools and techniques in the sessions.
