Winner of The Future of Meeting at The Meetings Show 2017

Dutch company NetworkTables wins ‘Future of Meetings Award’ for being most Innovative Event Technology Startup

NetworkTables founder Matthijs Otto proudly received ‘The Future of Meetings Award’ during The Meetings Show in London. The winner was determined by an international audience of event organizers that voted for the most innovative event tech startup.

NetworkTables is a young Dutch innovative event technology company that helps event attendees to meet the right people and make networking more effective at events through an user-friendly online solution for table seating, workshop registration and 1-on-1 meetings. Last October, the company NetworkTables also won the Event Technology Award for 'Best Technology for Building Event Attendance'. The Dutch Startup is on a path of success, by winning two prestigious awards in the events industry in less than a year.

Steve Knight, Event Director, The Meetings Show: ‘If we are to continue growing as an industry we need to develop the businesses of tomorrow, particularly in the technology sector, where there is so much innovation and change.  The Future of Meetings at The Meetings Show gives start-ups a chance to engage more closely with potential clients and I am delighted it has been such a success again this year. My thanks to The Meetings Design Institute for putting it together for us but most importantly - congratulations to NetworkTables. I look forward to seeing them grow over the years to come. They offer an entirely new way to get to know who you are seated with at an event, providing the perfect forum to engage with a small group of new people as you find those you really want to connect with.’

Fast growth
NetworkTables is growing fast, the online solution is used by event organizers in over 34+ countries to increase show-up rate, save valuable time and speed up ticket-sales. In the Netherlands, the online solution is also used for innovative conferences like The Next Women Summit, Provada and matchmaking events of business clubs.
Matthijs Otto, Founder, NetworkTables: “We are growing very fast and sometimes we forget to celebrate success with the team. This year we are going to double the revenue. Winning two well-recognized awards within less than a year is a great recognition for our hard work. It gives extra trust to companies that do not work with us yet.”

Staying innovative
In order to stay innovative and on top, NetworkTables continuously stays in touch with the event organizers. “Together with event organizers we build innovative solutions for their daily problems in order to make their lives easier.” - Matthijs Otto. In this way NetworkTables, together with Dedicon, made the solution accessible to anyone who is blind or with a visual impairment for the Better Together Conference. And where in the past the fear for online conferences only was spoken of, now NetworkTables enables 20.000 attendees to participate in the World Business & Executive Coaching Summit (WBECS) through video conferencing links.

The innovative Dutch event tech company did not remain unaware.. Matthijs Otto, founder of NetworkTables, talked with Prince Constantijn (StartupDelta) and Ton van ‘t Noordende (Keadyn, Amsterdam Capital Week) about the challenge “how do we create valuable connections during StartupFest Europe?”. Together they came up with the perfect matchmaking solution, which is an expansion of the NetworkTables 1on1 meeting solution. The existing system is expanded to an intelligent matching system, which mainly will be used for matching investors with startups during the main event; CapitalFest, that takes places during StartupFest Europe in September 2017.
